i just got a wave runner from a friend of mine. it is a 1997 yamaha waveraider 1100. it was in storage for a while and the battery was dead so i hooked a charger to it over night and when i hit the start button the box that the spark plug wires runs to just clicks. my question is is the motor locked up? how do i test to see if the motor is locked up? any other ideas what it could be?

hey man I have a 94 Yamaha Wave Raider and the same thing was happening. I tried charging the battery did not work, then I just went out and bought a new battery for it, put it in and started no problem. Make sure you have enopugh gas in the tank that it is getting to the fuel filter and should start right up.
